Lemon is a species that originated in the Mediterranean basin and the Middle East. As long as the climatic conditions are good, the tendency of flowering and fruiting in lemons lasts throughout the year. This is called the versatility feature. In our region, lemon usually blooms in April. Although it varies according to the variety, the maturation period varies between October and January. Lemon varieties are examined in 3 groups: sour lemon, sweet lemon and different group (like lemon). Commercially grown lemon varieties are varieties of the sour group.
